For the past two years my daughters have loudly expressed their desire for a baby brother or sister. I managed to keep the pregnancy news from them for 7 days and couldn't keep it a secret any longer. They were ecstatic when they found out and have been excited ever since. I was about 5 weeks pregnant when I told them.
I've had two girls, with no morning sickness with those pregnancies. I've had nausea since conception with this one, so I, perhaps wishfully, think it's possible it's a boy this time. But I really have no clue.
I live in a 911 sq ft mobile home with nearly no yard to speak of, no garage, no basement, 1 cat, 2 birds, myself, my two daughters and their father. My daughters are 8 and 7 years old and share the second bedroom which houses their bunkbed, clothing, toys, games, and books. There are two bedrooms, one bathroom with laundry, an enclosed arctic entry/porch which is used for storage along with a small outdoor shed. I live in Alaska, so only certain items can be stored in...
My third baby is expected sometime around the 22nd of April, but I tend to have mine a bit later than expected. Welcome to the DDC!
I am about 50 pounds overweight based on the weight I would like to be. If I went by what doctors recommend, they would say I'm 100 pounds overweight. But I know my body better than they do and I know what weight makes me feel healthiest. I've had a problem with weight gain over the past year-and-a-half which I think is linked to my insulin resistance and thyroid tumor, but the specialists say no, it's my diet. I eat organic, low sugar, frequent meals, lots of greens and...
I joined the Alaska Club in April, and make a habit of going on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday after work. I skipped Friday night because I had a terrible day at work and just wanted to go home and cry. I think it was a good choice. When I workout, I start with the XpressWay (minus the shoulder machines I can't do because of my torn rotator cuff), move to the balcony where I use small free weights and an exercise ball to complete all of my shoulder physical therapy...
My positive pregnancy test was Tuesday the 13th and I told my daughters on Sunday the 18th. On the 19th, I had to put in a leave request at work for my first prenatal appointment, which is scheduled for September 5th, so starting with my managers, I personally informed all my coworkers throughout that week. Then I told my mom when she came to visit on Saturday the 24th. My dad came into town from work on the 21st when I told him, and I found out John told his dad sometime...
This is my third pregnancy, but the first one in which I experienced nausea. No vomiting, but the nausea is relentless.
Gosh, no. I would never unless there was some sort of medical condition that required it.
This one was a surprise, not as surprising as my second, though. I was exclusively breastfeeding my oldest when she was 5 months, was on the mini-pill, and used a condom when I became pregnant with my second in 2005. My husband and I have been legally separated since December 18, 2011 (our 7 year wedding anniversary) and I started letting him come around again since January of 2013. Well, things have been going well between us the past couple months. I had my Paraguard IUD...
