I haven't been eating canned foods this whole pregnancy, except Eden brand beans which don't have BPA. I buy tuna in the pouch (which could still have BPA - but I'm hoping less than canned. For tomatoes I've just been using fresh.

I agree with you, I would be leery of that too. I know some docs provide their patients with a list of doulas they can choose, and try to discourage them from using doulas not on the list. It seems rather controlling of them if you ask me.

I would call and check. I was told at our 12 week that drinking a ton of water was irrelevant at that stage. In fact, the ultrasound tech had me empty by bladder during the scan in the hopes the baby would turn for a better view.
