I have not tried it myself, but someone else here may have experience with it...? If you don't get more help here, another forum you could try is the "Weston A. Price Healthy Babies" yahoo group; I know there are folks there who have used the cow's milk, goat's milk, and liver based formulas. http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/newwaphb/

gentlemango, I was just thinking about doing that for emergency storage. What is the shelf life of the water in those big jugs?
Thanks all! This makes me pretty nervous, I really don't think any company will pay double or even 150% right now, but I can see how it makes sense...
My DH has been laid off for a little over a month... He has had a lot of interviews, 2-6 companies per week (some days he has done a morning interview at one company and afternoon at another) and the feedback he is getting is that he is a great candidate but they are nervous about hiring in this market... many companies say to come back in 2009 and see if they have budget to hire him. Anyway several companies have expressed interest in maybe having him do some contract...
I agree with the PP that it might be nice to put a cloth over the TV, or you could put a plant in front of it or something, but I don't think it would be a problem if you just left it as-is, as long as it's turned off! Plastic toys don't bother me at all, as long as they aren't noisy or flashing, or character toys. Your house sounds nice
We used to have the endless bedtime reading problem, but now the rule is ONE book before bedtime or nap. It works great for us. I just say "Now it's time to read one book and then go to sleep" and then we read the book and DS totally accepts that we won't read more. He's 3. Of course we read lots during the day so he isn't deprived
I've noticed a lot of threads like this lately, and posted a suggestion for a Preparedness forum in Questions & Suggestions. I put together a list of preparedness/stockpiling threads that might be useful too. If you think a preparedness forum might be a good idea, or would like to discuss the idea, or would just like to see the list I posted, here is the thread: http://www.mothering.com/discussions...php?p=12588573
Here are some examples of the types of posts that I imagine might belong in the proposed forum. The posts are currently split between Mindful Home Management and Frugality and Finances (slightly more), with a few posts in other forums. Posters seem to be unsure of whether to post in MHM or F&F, for example I quote annettemarie in a post titled "Emergency Stockpile Question" (http://www.mothering.com/discussions...d.php?t=928226): Quote: I didn't know whether...
How do you deal with poop/pee on things? We tried naked time this summer and DS just pooped and peed on things, then afterwards announced "I peed!" "I pooped!" etc... he's 3.
