I'm a lifelong renter, and I have to say that I love it when we get a house that has living room lighting already. I'd say about half of the places I've rented haven't had living room fixtures, and I've always hated that. Lamps don't always light up the room enough.
DH and DS can both play chess, but I can't. Or, maybe I should say, I don't care enough to learn how.
