I think it is scary when hospitals start making policies that state they won't help a baby born younger than however many weeks. Yes, most preemies that are born less than 23 weeks do not fare well, but there are always exceptions and miscalculations -- so it should always be on a case by case basis IMO. A few decades ago 30 weeks gestation was the age of "viability" so who knows what advances may come about in the coming years. I think it is unreal that some places...
OMG -- that is unreal. I'm so sorry. Did they give the Hep B shots shortly before Jaxen came home? If so, you might want to contact a lawyer. Please research all the side affects of routine infant vaccinations and at least delay until 2 years old for any more vaxes for the surviving twin. My healthy full term cousin died of "SIDS" at 7 months old shortly after her shots. Re: inguinal hernia -- one of my twins had one on each side. They really pushed to have the surgery...
