Okay my question for the day; I have started my onions ans aparagus seeds. I covered the onions with foil until they sprout, was this right or should I have left them exposed to the lights?

Zone 4 here! I have to get planting (inside). What is everyone growing?

Onions!!! I'm a zone 4, I think (in vermont). According to our local feed store we should plant outside memmorial day weekend. So what about onions and leeks? I've never planted them before. Should I start both inside?

how many potatoes? I'm trying to figure out if I should order 1 pound of slips or 2? We have never planted potatoes before. I was going to get two but they are so expensive! So does one pound, mean a lot of potatoes? Thanks!
