My 36 week home visit is tomorrow! Really makes me feel closer to holding my baby, even though I know I'll be pregnant for 4 more weeks. I am willing to share some of my weight gain with those of you who are losing weight! I realized yesterday that I've gained 10lbs in the past month. That's about when I stopped really trying to eat less grains/carbs. Though I'm not sure if it's the grains or the sugar really. Since I stopped trying to eat less carbs in general and not...

What to wear... For my hospital birth I just wore comfy clothes, stretchy pants and a t shirt. Then when I got in the tub I wore a bikini top. I had a swim skirt cover up to wear, no bottoms, but didn't put it on for some reason. this is the same thing I've worn at my home births too. When I got out of the tub, I was pushing so didn't think about changing clothes, just birthed in my bikini top. Which I ripped off as soon as the baby came, so I could nurse. They were not...
I am definitely ready to meet my baby and ready to be not pregnant! But this made me laugh:Since when is 7lbs big? Was this your last baby or your first? If it was your first, don't worry about it. Firsts are the hardest to push out. And U/S sizing is wildly inaccurate anyway. If you are still worried, try to be upright during the birth, that helps. I'm not a big person, 5'4", and I've birthed 9lb7oz, 8lb13oz and 9lb babies with no problems and no tears. (My first one...
Biodynamic- beautiful blanket and nursery. Love the colors! Tiffa- beautiful blanket! I love the fabric on the uncut side, but then I'm partial to anything green. Lol. I had decided against knitting a blanket, thinking I don't really need one, but you guys are making me rethink that. I have made a gray kimono sweater and matching bonnet. http://www.ravelry.com/projects/vaquitita/seamless-baby-kimono. a multi colored open front cardigan. ...
Walrus

Bath. Wine or beer?
Hippy mum- I am just gathering a few supplies my midwife has asked me to have on hand. Drop cloths, hose, witch hazel, etc. some are just things to have washed and set aside in one place for easy finding, like baby blankets. I have a whole bag of chux pads and big thick mama pads leftover from my last home birth. Fish oil- I take green pastures fermented cod liver oil. I really haven't been asking it lately though, I should start again. Meks- that is my reason for...
