Hi there,   I'm basically looking for a family practice doctor or chiropractor or homeopath who is non-vax friendly for my kids for annual exams.  We rarely have needed sick-child care, but a family practice doc would be good in case of illness.     I am in Joplin and am willing to drive up to an hour away.
HI there!  I'm a Joplin mama.  We moved here from Bowling Green, OH just over a year ago.   I have 6 kids; we home school, garden, raise chickens, and were in the tornado just 3 weeks after moving here.
My pelvis broke at 20 weeks pregnant in the Joplin, MO tornado.  I am now about 29 weeks and every specialist has been telling me that my pelvis will not be able to withstand the pressure and movement of a vaginal delivery.  I am more open to the c-section because of the opinion of the orthopedic surgeons who all have said NO WAY for a vaginal delivery BUT am still skeptical.     Does anyone have any experience that would help?  I have not been able to find any...
Thanks so much for that information! What a great place to start. I also called our regular pediatrician, who has seen our little guy since he was born (he came to us at 7 weeks old), and he is going to do some digging for the exact report to get us some information so I know how to better research. I'm a bit of a research-aholic.
Hi there! My soon-to-be-adopted son has an extra chromosome 22. The neurologist suspected Fetal Alcohol Syndrome but ordered the genetic testing to rule out or confirm any possible genetic disorders. Lo and behold, there IS a genetic disorder that is mimicing FAS. So, we don't get into the geneticist until March 4th. Googling has done me no good, so I have no clue what type of chromosome 22 disorder we are looking at. Can you give me any info on these types...
He does have special needs. I guess I'm worried I am gonna miss something and we'll be left in the lurch in another couple of years. I mean, he's 2--we can't possibly know what he truly is dealing with as far as his special needs go. We probably see only the tip of the iceberg now. I've been told to include everything specific to him--special diet, special hygiene product needs, transportation to his numerous appointments, babysitting for the others during those...
So, we are in the horrible, horrible phase of negotiating an adoption subsidy for our 2yo foster son who has been with us since he was 7wo. What do I need to take into consideration when writing up our response to the county's initial offer of $0?

(Well, I guess that you don't have to breastfeed in order to think that the scenario in the article is funny...
Hi, Gang! A few months ago someone posted about their husband opening a chiropractor office in Perrysburg. They said he also was certified for well-baby visits. Can someone re-post that info. I need to find somewhere for well-baby visits that will support and not hassle our vax choices. Melody
