This thread is turning into fetus porn with all the bits/nubs pics.   These pics are fantastic! I love the stretched out little dude on the last page.   I'm having a level 2 done on 12/5, I'll be 21 weeks. I'm starting to get excited about it (and the excitement is completely overwhelming my concern for zapping the babe with all that sound energy.)
I'd be seriously pissed at your family doc for doing that to you! It's not like YOU were getting treatment for an active infection.   What does the birth center suggest you do? Are they bouncing you to their back up docs at a local hospital? What would be the protocol the hospital would follow for this known infection? Can the back up doc discuss protocols with the birth center? Can you ask the back up docs for recommendations for other midwives?   Is this...
That was my experience in Indiana 8 years ago, another state where midwifery is not recognised. Shockingly, here in Florida, where midwifery is very regulated, I also had this experience.   State regulation is not enough to protect you. Any women seeking a homebirth, no matter where they are in the US, needs to learn all they can about birth and birth complications and ask hard questions when interviewing a midwife. It's not that hard to see the difference between a...
I will never forget how awful tree pollen season was with DS. I though I was going to die. It went away though.   This babe seems to be allergic to the barometer falling. I know it's going to rain 12 hours before it does because I am up all night coughing and sneezing.   OP, that egg sensitivity sounds terrible. I really hope it goes away. You might want to be really careful when introducing eggs to the baby.   I had a huge intolerance for coffee, even the...
Sick here too. DH brought home a cold type thing from work. Next day spent an afternoon in the ER with my littlest and his scary croupy cough. 2 days later I caught it.   The snot gets me gagging, then I pee my pants. Fun times!   Since other people are sick too I have been getting the short end of the rest and lay around stick. DH just comes home and crashes, then wakes up and wants to know what's for dinner. We had a little heart to heart Saturday where I...
It seems like normal behavior to me. Both my kids went through it.   DS was stuck there for awhile, and was a little older than his sister was when she went through it. He has Ds, so I think development was part of the issue too.   I handled it by being vigilant at meal times. When I saw him loosing interest (or what ever it is that proceeds the throwing) I would verbally ask him if he was done, make the sign for done and take his bowl or bit of food away before...
Love it!
Exactly.
I noticed that too.   I am also noticing that the OP does not seem to be able to give any details about what went wrong besides the fact that she chose a homebirth.
I'm trying very hard to hear what you are saying and understand what it is that I should be cautioned about.   I have had 2 home births.   I took risks that there is no way I would have been allowed to take in a hospital with these births. 3 weeks post dates, prolonged/staled/slow progressing 53 hour labor, posterior baby (I did not consider this a risk, and I still don't), hemorrhage and retained placenta, 7 days of broken water before birth, just to name a few. I...
