I would just wait it out. The baby will come when she is ready. I would even discourage against stripping membranes, because if baby isn't ready to come it could end in a stalled labour.

True in a sense but if a baby is really ready for food (over 6 months old, and other requirements), they won't choke easily on chunks of softer foods.
