There's a brand you can buy that doesn't contain aluminum..........can't remember the name right now but I got it at the health food store.

Just FYI, we do antibiotics for ear infections. I know some mamas don't. (And we do probiotics at the same time to counter the side effects of the antibiotics). And my dd got tubes at 14 months. I was scared to death but it really helped her ear infections and her hearing. (Just be sure that both tubes fall out later or they will have to be surgically removed.)
Most likely, your son's hearing will be ok. If not, you'll get through it!!
