Either a 24 hour soak, or if that doesn't work - sprout them before cooking. I used to be a raw food vegan (5 years). I'm not any more, but beans always gave me problems and then I sprouted them. BIG difference. You can just cook normally after sprouting. And you don't need to wait for long sprouts - just right when they're coming up or out.
