What about prenatal in the AM, alfalfa afternoons and calcium before bed? If you get leg cramps during the night, taking cal/mag before bed will usually put a stop to them.

I really like having a submersible utility pump... just hook the hose to it, put the other end of the hose in a bathtub, toilet or out a window, stick the pump into the water and plug 'er in. My poor hubby had to dump with a bucket...

I do not think the shift from BC to home birth is nearly as drastic as the shift would be for a hospital-trained CNM going to home birth. I spent 5 weeks at a birth center out of state and the only difference between it and home birth...
