Oh no! Bummer deal. Yeah it definitely shouldn't hurt. If my babe is sleeping and I need to adjust things I'll bend over and try to do it while she's sleeping still. Sometimes that works. I most often do a ruck tied at shoulder with a candy cane chest belt. I'm fast at it now and since it's tied at shoulder, I can just tighten up one side, with the shorter tail, without unwrapping all of it. Of course if it's wonky on the other shoulder that doesn't help much.
