LOL, that's funny Spastica! I was actually Mothering.com's webmaster for a long while so I've been here for years. I ran an online vegan magazine so I used to only post in the Wahm Well and the Nutrition forums. But now that my career has totally changed, I've found a new forum here on Mothering that appeals to me more. But thank you for your attempt to link to my site. Much appreciated.
Ouija boards can be dangerous for a couple of reasons. A spirit is using your energy to manipulate the planchette. If you are not in a state of good protection and high vibration then allowing an energy to use your hands and what not can sort of let them in a back door and affect you in some ways you'd rather not be affected. You're more open in other words. Automatic writing is dangerous for this reason as well. Doreen Virtue came out with an Angel board which has...
The ouija board is a divination tool like crystal balls, tarot cards, pendulums, etc. How effective it is is based entirely on the intentions, energy and ability of the person using it. Just as someone could play around with Tarot cards and not know what the cards mean, you could play round with a ouija board. Let's look at what's happening from the other side. A spirit is present and sees that you have a divination tool in your hand. It uses it's energy to try to...
When I connect, when I'm working, this is the exact process I use to open myself up (the brief version): Spin and clear all my chakras, get them spinning at least a foot or two out from my body. In my mind's eye I walk up a celestial staircase, about 18 stairs. When I reach the top I enter my White Room (the place I go in my mind's eye to do this work). Inside the White Room is a special guide assigned to me that specifically helps me with the readings. ...
In my youth I also dabbled with ouija boards with a couple of my friends. We had great "success" if you want to call it that, in reaching something. The planchette would move all over the place. But what really solidified it for me was one experience where my friend and I were the only ones touching the planchette and a guy we did not know asked, "If I had a child, what would I name him?" And the thing spelled out the world, "Chase" and the guy freaked out because...
Another thing I'll mention to those who are naturally gifted... When I first opened myself back up to receiving spirit communication everywhere I went and everyone I looked at I could see someoen standing behind them, a deceased relative and what not. But my guides taught me to set a time and place for spirit communication so that I would not be overwhelmed and so that spirits wouldn't bother me when I didn't want them too. Worked well. So now I could be out at the...
I'm a practicing psychic medium and I can really relate to the fear you're talking about. Although I was psychic my whole life, I was always afraid of spirit contact so I really shut myself down so I wouldn't have to see or hear anything that would scare me. Getting in contact with my higher self and spirit guides really helped me. They helped me open myself back up but in a way that I would not be scared. I've written about this transformation and instruction in my...
It's a hypnogogic hallucination and it's very common. You will hear noises and even feel like someone is in the bed with you or in your room with you. It's a good state to try some astral projection if you're into that. not sure if I spelled it correctly but if you google it you'll get all the info you need. It's harmless.
Nothing breaks my heart more than to know my child is suffering and I can't necessarily make it better. Her little friend was due to come over this weekend for a playdate. If she is still coming I will try to help them solidify their relationship a little and I'll talk to the teacher about all of this. Ironically I was at open house last night and spoke to her teacher and she said everything was great between my daughter and the friend but I guess things went south big...
My daughter started 2nd grade and is in a new school. While there are some other kids in her class that are also new to school, I think she is the only girl who is new. She made one friend and things were going well but today she told me some things that have me concerned. She says the other girls won't let her play with them unless she agrees to play the role they want her to play. For example they play tag and they always want my daughter to be the one who chases...
