My kid's Godparents are frothing at the mouth for the fig preserves I made...just like my grandmother made(May she RIP). It is such a hit! I also say they must return the jar if the expect a refill of something next year. :)
Wow. I have been gone a while...what is up with this new look? I don't like change.
Anyway, we are using Seton books. I LOVE it. I don't want to be part of the school because I want to use Math u See for math.
I saw the posting about the Retroville. I went to one with my first husband. Divorced and annulment granted from the Church (Thank you , God.) I am sure they are different from place to place but if your DH is not into the Church teachings this may really make him mad. I tend to agree with the need for control in the bedroom. Maybe HE is terrified of another pregnancy right now.So, he wants to make sure that he "keeps to himself." I think that you could talk to your...
Ok, I didn't read the other posts yet but I am quickly going to tell you what I am doing for my kids next year...
They did a homemade chia pet at the library. It was FABULOUS. All you need in:
a disposable cup
a piece of construction paper already cut to go around the cup (it is kinda angled)

Only my Dh understands...so I hope someone here understands how amazing this is. Thanks for letting me share!
I am desperately looking for lesson plans for first grade. I acquired all the books, I have looked them over, and I like them. I am new to homeschooling so I am looking to buy a used lesson plan from somebody. Does anybody have any suggestions to finding one? TIA!

YES!!! My DH and I switched to these years ago and will NEVER go back. the upfront cost of the razor is around $35.00 but the blades last forever. We haven't had to order any more blades in years. I too have super thick black hair.
For the Advent calendar...my computer crashed and I lost the link( or I would love to share)...but last year I made little envelopes and filled out little slips of papers into them of things to do everyday.
1) curl up on sofa as a family and watch a Christmas movie
2) drive around to see the light displays
I gave them to my girlfriends and they LOVED them.

I only ask because when I looked at a few Cert preowned Odysseys, they were really not much less expensive than a brand new one with the same options. Honestly I was shocked. I currently drive a 2006 EX-L with 50,000 miles. When I looked at certified preowned Odysseys, a comparable certified preowned Odyssey was about...
