All of mine quit napping around 2; my 18 month old naps only one time, around 11:30 or noon, then she goes to sleep around 11 or so, like the 4 year old. She'll wake around 8 a.m.
My last two have never needed much sleep.

You were afraid of suffocation, not SIDS.
SIDS is so rare, you have a higher chance of injury to your child in an automobile wreck. Or walking across the kitchen floor. Or a list of a million other things.
