Edit.
What helped me with my 4 yo is a book called "Setting Limits For the Strong Willed Child."    Strong limits and the consequences behind them for me is the trick for successful GD a strong willed child/ fit thrower.  That book even gives you a timeline so you aren't changing everything immediately but in steps.  Truly worth the money.    I also find it easy to "trick" DS into thinking he has his way when I am just getting him to come up with my idea.  This is...
http://www.montessoriservices.com/store/   Montessori Services and For Small Hands (a part of MS) has a catalog you can order.  It's great fun to look through and get ideas from, even if you aren't Montessori.  They cover elementary in the catalog as well.    http://www.newchildmontessori.com/   This is a pretty extensive curriculum that can be used with a variety of ages.  I'm not sure how complete it would be for first grade but things can be easily...
I personally don't worry about fat.  We honestly eat really heavy meat (fats) plus nuts, seeds, coconut oil, and other fats.  And I have never felt better!    If I felt bad then I might worry about it.  Granted, I've never had a blood test to check for cholesterol, etc.     I'm working on a more Ayurveda eating plan.  I'm not there yet but it helps give me a guideline.  DD needs more "fire" so I have stopped giving her ice water and smoothies.  The interesting thing...
http://www.celiac.com/  Look on the menu on the right side for a list of both safe and unsafe ingredients.  HTH!   On a side note I have been enjoying the "cook"book Ani's Raw Food Desserts.  The Fudge Cake with frosting is TDF.  I'm borrowing my mother's food processor and have decided I can't live without one.  If only to make the frosting.  Even my DS likes it and he is SUPER picky.  I have to make it without him seeing though or he'll see the avocado and...
Authentic Indian cooking blog.  This is a great blog but personally I've had a hard time finding ingredients.  http://ruchikacooks.com/
There is no GMO popcorn.  Popcorn is different from the sweet non-GMO we eat and different from GMO corn which is used for processing.  It is a specific, and non GMO, type of corn.  Non organic probably has pesticide residue but that is a different issue than GMO.
http://www.kidswithfoodallergies.org/   On this site you have to pay for a membership to view all the recipes.  You can click your child's allergies and they will give you recipes.  There also are some free recipes to try.    For an egg and dairy allergy though I would simply get a good vegan cookbook.  I'm personally notorious for taking perfectly good vegan recipes and adding meat.  (Sorry vegans)   Prepared items marked Parve are dairy free (but not...
MSG is naturally present in certain foods and using these foods has been present for centuries/thousands of years.  The present chemical processed form of MSG is poison imo.    For a biased anti-MSG site check out http://www.msgtruth.org/  I'm sure there are a gazillion MSG is great sites to balance that one out. Sorry, I can't provide an unbiased site since I don't know of one.   MSG is also sprayed on crops now under the name AuxiGro. I came across this...
The poems/songs in that book didn't flow very well for us.  I found a much easier time with songs, poems, and fingerplays from other sources which have a better rhythm.  The flow also made it hard to repeat them without directly looking at the book which is something I wanted to avoid.  I would suggest investing in other sources.
