Just wanted to let you know that I had another great report yesterday. Still no sign of the cancer returning. I hope it stays this way.
Sending you positive thoughts for a good report for your husband this week.
Kids really do adapt to their surroundings. So your baby will be fine with whatever level of mobility daddy has.
Right now I am in a wait and see mode. I have cat scans every six months and will have for two years. I just had one on Wednesday. I will find out the results on Monday. I had an extremely aggressive cancer but it was all self contained in the uterus so we may get lucky and it will not reoccur. My doctors won't give me a definite answer. But as you...

What's your favorite book or piece of curriculum that you have for this year?
We love Time4Learning.com. We've used it since the beginning.
What outside activities are your children doing this year?
I have five adult children and an 8 year old. 16 months ago I had cancer. I had surgery on June 1 last year. Then I went through months of chemotherapy and radiation. It was hard. My little one was only 6 when all this started. I remember one day when he said, "It sure is hard having a sick mama." He grew up way to fast last summer. He learned to do some microwave cooking. Have any of you tried Secular Homeschool? They have tons of forums about different topics much like Mothering has. There is one for each state as well as all the other topics. It was great for me to be able to connect with homeschooling families who have dealt with serious illness.
I also feel the isolation. We do drive 40 minutes to an hour and a half to attend activities with people in our meet-up group. We drive over an hour to soccer. Being right outside New...
You're so right. It is Garden State Mall that we went to. DS is beyond the age of that play space now. But it was fun a few years ago. We were a part of a small AP group. But all the kids grew up and the group disbanded.
Englewood has a nice Nature Center as well.
The music and dance program I was trying to think of was at Saddle River Valley Cultural Center. Some of the current events include:
Baby Fingers (Creative Sign Language)
Baby Fingers (Story Sign Class)
Mommy, Me & Music
