Oh yeah, forgot that detail.
Severe motion sickness. Can't put an adult in the back seat. Even medicated, vomiting will commence within minutes.
So we really do have to find the smallest seat available.
Our 2nd car is a Dodge Stratus. Its one of those backseats that is really just for groceries. An adult has to put their legs sideways even if the front seats are far forward.
We plan to never have the baby in the 2nd car. We are basically going to have 1st car for whoever has the kid, 2nd car for whoever is traveling childless.
Still, i'd like to have a carseat already installed in the 2nd car as an emergency backup.
We will never get an infant carseat in...
That I can buy pretty much anywhere (local grocery, target, etc.)
What easily acquired soap do people use for washing diapers? Cotton fitteds, pocket diapers, etc.
I really don't want to order detergent online or have to track it down at a specialty store every time we are running out.
I keep them in a small trash can under the sink.
When its time to wash
1) cold soak
2) optional depends on how long the pads have been sitting: hot soak with oxyclean
3) hot wash with a little soap
Step 2 is because i had nearly continuous periods for a few years so I ended up getting about a hundred pads that I used in combination with a diva cup so I could go awhile (10-14 days) between washes.
Since periods have become more normal, I often skip step 2.
You can just skip the drops.
The big thing is that your prescription is probably fluctuating. My doc recommended waiting for an appt unless I need new contacts or I just need to break down and get a new prescription because it has shifted enough to justify. I'd probably just get new contacts since I hardly use my glasses so it wouldn't be that big a deal to change and then change again.
If you do tell them now, wait until the very end of the evening if you think they may be dealing with infertility. Don't make them have to spend the whole evening with a smile on their faces when they may be weeping inside.
Thank goodness I have a huge stash of cloth pads because I'm sneezing about 50 times a day. At least 20 of those are big, hard, shake your whole body sneezes that come with no warning. See, in addition to sneezing when I pee, I'm ridiculously congested.
This is the main reason why I still haven't told anyone at work and I'm 15+ weeks.
I work on a billable hours basis. I have to bill 40 a week, no exceptions. I'm terrified people are going to stop giving me work because they want to be "nice" and I'm going to end up without enough billable hours. The default is that I fill in with vacation time, which I just don't have to burn at the moment.
Though its my first babe so its hard to tell.
I'm 15 weeks. Was laying in bed and felt the oddest sensation. Like someone was drumming their fingers from inside me. Just 4 little pops right in a row.
