Oh, I love this thread every year!   I think my sister still wins for the prescription for acne medication our grandfather gave her when she was twelve. That was the year I got a tape series entitled "Where There's a Will, There's an A." Gramps was a winner.
"Seeing" all of you again is making me feel all warm and fuzzy.
I think I joined in 2003 when my oldest was a year old. It's been interesting to watch the changes and the perpetual comments about the supposed good old days.

I would look for open enrollment universities that offer ASL for distance learners. That would involve being at the computer at scheduled times for video classes, but is probably the best bet. ASL grammar is decidedly idiosyncratic, and there are a lot of very subtle nuances like the difference between "kid" and "brat," which is just the angle of a gesture. I learned the hard way that it is very easy to be very rude when you don't understand those nuances.   Another...
