I've asked 5 or 6 times now, so I don't think it's just a matter of reminders anymore. I have tried dropping by (we are 120 miles apart now, but I'm occasionally in the city) but there's not been anyone home.
The birth was in Dec 2007 and I started requesting the records in June 2009. To my understanding, she definitely still has them: she did say she would copy them and bring them, and if she didn't *have* them she would just have said she...
Tell me it doesn't matter that my past midwife won't give me a copy of her notes from my birth (i.e., my chart). I've been asking for a year and she just won't. She said she'd mail them, but didn't. I even gave her postage. Then...
We cloth diapered from the very start, from about 2 hours old. My midwife did the first diaper job on my bed. I had 24 prefolds and 6 covers and it was just right; it was enough for 2 days. Changed about every 2-3 hours (not at...
What time does your son get up? Maybe if you got him up earlier, he'd be likely to go to bed earlier. It's cruel to wake a sleeping baby, I know, but it's a suggestion. I have a 10-mo-old daughter who likes to go to bed at 1 or 2 am...

My baby basically didn't eat for the first three days, she lost about 10% of birthweight, wasn't peeing or pooping much after the initial meconium. Then at about a week she figured out how to actually nurse, took a while to gain the...
Could your dp contact the nurse who said it and ask where her info comes from? He could say that someone had asked about it and he just wanted to be able to give them a source. I'm interested, because the Al freaks me out and it's...
Dr Sears recommends Vit C in his vaccine book . . . starting on the day of the shots, continuing for 5 days, 150 mg for infants and 250 mg for toddlers. He also recs Vit A. Once a day for three days prior to shots and then...
I didn't have it done. Sometimes if a birth is really rough, I think it might be warranted, and for that reason I did get my vit K prescription filled (homebirth). But didn't use it. Didn't even think of it until days later.
