..actually disseminating on the vagina is definitely a move up for me. Contrary to popular opinion, there's no glory in the guts :LOL There is as well no excuse for physicians not having a clue about what to do after an antibiotic/anti-yeast wipeout. The evidence is everywhere when you think about it: http://www.medscape.com/content/2004...70468_ref.html http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/q...m_uid=14581876 And of course this from the first page of the...
..but it looked like you were pretty set on conventional drug therapies. This time I saw the smoking gun--"antibiotics" Even if your simply eating conventional meats you're getting a heavy dose. Any presciption on top of that is pretty much enough to set the GI tract out of whack. Read "The Power of Probiotics" for the importance of our GI flora to our immune system-- 70% of which is the gut. No Vax! Fantastic! You're more than half-way there. Now get everybody...
...it sounds exactly like chickenpox. It's pretty odd that your doctor didn't want to diagnose chickenpox. But that's the way it is these days-- nobody allowing anything outside the mainstream wants anything on record. It was the same with my son's measles. The fact that it is all over his body and not confined to his trunk, according to my Merck manual, means that it's a severe case. The fact of his respiratory issues means that as well. You need to load up on...
....I did a "wet" run the other day (using water to see if temp held) and it looks like it's going to work. We're eating so much yogurt, I'm getting tired of all the little glass jars. I'm using a heat-pad on the first setting (mine has three). I bought a 1.5 liter jar (I'm going back for the 2 liter) for a buck at Dollar General. Wrapped the heat pad around it and held it in place with a rubber band chain (where you link them together) and a paper clip. We had...
...the only thing that's going to run the yeast out of your and your son's body is the beneficial bacteria in our GI tract that keep them out in the first place. Check out "The Power of Probitics" thread here, for the details of how important the proper intestinal flora is. Also so a search for "candida" to get further details. Here is a sample of the info. One that in fact mentions the inhibitory effects of L. rhamnous and L. fermentum on...
..I guess the meds you were referring to were antibiotics? If so, please check out "The Power of Probiotics" thread here in Health and Healing. 70% of the immune system is in our gastrointestinal tract and when those antibiotics go in they wipe out the good bacteria as well. Just the fact that your daughter is getting ear infections says she could use some good probiotic yogurt (not conventional yogurt that has mostly transient bacteria). In fact, in this day...
...is this the acidophilus you're using?: http://www.enkueros.net/76630008730.html If so, it looks good to me. 3 strains of acidophilus and one bifidum-- which are permanent bacteria-- and bulgaricus and st. thermophilus---which are transient. Here's a little introduction to the various types: http://www.relfe.com/lactobacillus.html Here's another piece that has good info: http://www.chronogram.com/issue/2004/05/wholeliving/ Adding jarrow...
...the blame for your daughter's situation lies squarely with the present day monster called Modern Medicine. The Industrial Food complex runs a close second. They both have their functions but the price that comes with them is simply too high. It's outrageous to me that we have to research to find out the details of what our bodies need to thrive, but at least access to information has never been better. I don't know of any specific books on leaky gut, but do a...
OK you've got the yogurt and it's just Jarro? Did the monistat come with the "plunger" that gets the tube screwed to it? If not get one of those from the drugstore, cut the bottom off of the tube so you can load it with yogurt and a paper clip (the big ones that look like a clamp). Load the tube right before bed, lie back with your legs up (crooked) and plunge that yogurt right in there. Let it go to work while you sleep. The bacteria have digested the lactose---...
...I've re-read your story a number of times and I have one more question: What were your son's symptoms that led to the "suspected kidney/ureter obstruction." It sounds like something happened and the yeast suddenly (after 2 months) got the upper hand. I think his "foul smelling poops" are from the yeast die-off in his system, which is definitely good. My son had tons of probiotic powder starting day 3, my feeling was that the dangers of his having had...
