My son is 6 months old. He did not begin to spit up so frequently until the past month or so. Is there something that I need to cut out of my diet so that the breastmilk will be less acidic? Is there any advice out there for a situation like this? I do not want to go the prescription route except as a last resort. I would like to get to the root of the problem, not simply mask it.

The deal with cereals is that they are difficult to digest (especially for a young gut). Mixing it with breastmilk is good. The enzymes in your breastmilk help it to digest a bit easier.

A few years ago when my husband talked to his mother about being circed and how he was not happy with it her reply was something like, "I had to do it, it was a Catholic hospital". And I knew that was BS at the time because she didn't HAVE to allow that. But just recently it occurred to me that it being a Catholic hospital probably had nothing to do with it. MIL has a history of passing the blame so I think this was just another of those instances. Thanks for the replies,...
