I have a kid sized table. I try to rotate seasonal craft stuff ( Christmas ornaments, valentines). I put the supplies in clear jars or plastic boxes so they can see what we have. I rotate the jars from the table to a craft shelf. I got it from pottery barn, it has thin shelves for various paper and a larger shelf that holds jars of : crayons, pens, scissors, markers, decorative tape, glue, pencils, paint brushes etc. project specific stuff I keep in boxes labeled by...
I hold their hands still or put a lovey blanket in between their pinchy fingers so they have an interesting texture to touch.
Sounds interesting! I
My husband found a liquid garlic spray that he used all over our backyard to scare off the ticks and it worked great! He smelled bad that day though
It's so cool to see all the twins! And I love the hopeful stories from those of you with older ones. My boys, Sam and Max, are 5 weeks old and I feel like "triage" describes my life well! They were born at 38 weeks weighing 7-8 and 6-14, at one month they weighed 11-8 and 10-5! Because all I do is nurse, haha, luckily it isnt my first time and the babies were pros from the first time. I also have 2 older boys, aged 4 and 6 and we homeschool, so I basically can never be...
Our twin boys Sam and Max born Tuesday morning at 38 weeks! They weighed 7-8 and 6-14 and are doing so well. We had hopes of a natural breech birth of both boys with a fantastic midwife team and doctor but after 14 hours baby A wasn't descending enough to dilate me passed 7 cm. We did an ultrasound and saw baby b had flipped vertex during labor which jostled baby A into footling position. My dr was a lot more nervous about that so we decided on the c section. My midwife...
Esenbee2, I so hear you! It's so hard to know what is actually safer when the natural birth movement questions the mainstream on every count. When are ultrasounds, c sections etc really a good idea? I'm struggling with this same issue. I am just about 37 weeks and my presenting baby is breech, has been despite doing everything I can to flip him... So we are struggling w vaginal breech vs c section. Which is safer/better? I feel torn. Luckily I have an awesome midwife team...
Thanks for the replies ladies! The doc I saw at MFM today said nonstress tests can wait until 36 weeks, that seems more reasonable. Sounds like the backup OB is just super cautious bc everything looks great at this point... I am sure my midwives can talk him down My boys have been so flippy! A is breech now (at 30 weeks) so I am also holding out for another flip. But they both look good. If the ultrasound estimates are accurate they're 3-6 and 3-8 .
I just met the OB who my midwives recommended for the backup when I give birth (supposedly he really just stands there unless they ask him for consult, so that's good).  But he's suggesting twice weekly nonstress tests starting at 31 weeks.  Does that sounds crazy?  I feel like finding childcare and heading over there twice a week will stress ME out....
I just got a bunch of tops from Old Navy on sale too. The ruched side ones (3/4 sleeve) are crazy long!  I am only 24 weeks, so I may need the room, but for now they are hitting me mid-thigh (I am 5'8").  I was keeping in mind the need for length and bought all the ones the reviewers were complaining were too long, haha.   We are now re-envisioning our birth plan.  We had been planning a home birth, but once we found out about twins, that's not an option.  Our...
