our ped gave us this as well even though we didn't check ds's level- i guess it's just what they prescribe. we gave it to him for 3 days and each night he woke up screaming. he had never done that before so we didn't give it anymore...
if the bouncy seat works, you might want to try the amby bed. ds would only nap in my arms until i got the amby. i could put him in it and even if he woke up, i could 'bounce' him back to sleep. it also sort of cuddles the baby since...
my 25 mo old ds still nurses frequently- 6-8 times a day. i still feel the letdown and the heaviness, but he has upped his solids a lot so i am guessing there's less milk. i get so irritated when he wants to nurse for a long time (more...

we live in monroe, nj and we really like it here. there's a great park in town, lots of local farm stands, an excellent library- tons of programs, lots of nice moms (even though not all 'crunchy' they are not judgemental). there's also...
with my first, i kept granola bars by the bed- until dh told me i was driving him nuts with the late night crunching! now i eat soft things, but i too have to eat most nights. this actually came in handy for me after my ds was born....
