I am on my last tiny stretch. 36 and 6 days. My c/s is planned for Nov. 9 unless I go into labour sooner. EDD is Nov. 19 I have been on a whirlwind tour with my twin pregnancy. From trying to decide whether to have a U/C to finally getting support from my midwives to come to the house to have a home birth with alternate plans with the OB if things weren't straight forward. Then for the last several months Twin A has been stubbornly breech which my midwives will...
Thanks to everyone who posted their experiences. It has been encouraging to hear some stories that weren't as traumatic as my brain can imagine things will go.
I am trying to wrap my head around the possibility of a c/s for a breech first twin. Could any moms who have had a c/s describe their recovery with twins and other young children to care for and their experience with breastfeeding in the early days. What am I in for?? Is extra help around the house absolutely essential - and what areas were the most helpful- childcare, cleaning, laundry etc...?? We are trying to decide if we should hire help as we don't have family...
I need advice and/or support. I am currently 34 1/2 weeks with b/g twins. Twin A has been breech for a long time. I haven't tried any techniques other than inversions at home to turn him. I had a dr. appt today and we talked about routine c/s because Twin A presenting breech. I asked if she would consider letting me attempt a vag. delivery and she said she would consider it but she gave me a list of major risks, which in her opinion greatly outweighed any benefit...
No advice...just sympathy. I am at 30 weeks and I often feel like I can't go on for another two months too. It feels like it could be the end already - at least in my energy level. its like this mind game of staying positive and conversing with myself and the babies to stay in - grow big and strong - as it is only better for everyone that way in the end. I am 'on the go' kind of person and I feel so much guilt with not getting out as much with my two other kids...
Hi all. I am 26 weeks pregnant with Mono/Di twins. My OB has recommended ultrasounds every 2 weeks from now on to watch for twin-to-twin transfusion. So far babies are exactly the same size. I have already have been having ultrasounds every three weeks since 18 weeks pregnant and feel torn inside about what to do. I have some reservations about the frequency of the ultrasounds and I don't really understand if the actual risks of ultrasound. I also realize that...
Hi all. I am Sara and I am also new to the forums. I will be 28 when the twins are born, DH - 35 Mono/DI 3rd and 4th children EDD Nov.19 Saskatchewan, Canada
Hi I am 18 weeks with twins. The midwives in my city in Canada won't attend a twin home birth. The best they can do is do shared care with an OB for prenatals (every other appointment) and then labour support in the OR. I have a student midwife who has said she will attend me at home . I really want to do this, but I'm having a hard time educating myself to gain confidence and knowledge that a home birth is safe option with twins. I don't want to be irresponsible,...
