Kidzaplenty and Sk8ermaiden, do you really drink straight 100% cranberry juice? It is so tart!? Or do you drink "100% juice cranberry"? I have to go to a the health food aisle and pay $5 to $7 for a small bottle of 100% cranberry juice. The "100% juice" stuff in the regular juice...
I don't have any better advice than others here. I just wanted to say that I understand. When my daughter was 1 and my son was 4, I wanted to give my daughter away. Truly-for adoption or to a family member. When I was completely open to my husband about it he was shocked. I didn't like her at all. I am not sure if I loved her or not. My son, he is so easy going that he just took care of himself. However, I ended up basically ignoring him because I was so unhappy and burnt...
I would never set out to end a relationship because of circumcision. But, I think it has happened anyway. I couldn't help it. I can't be around my friend or her sons without thinking about what she did to them. I really do try to let it go but it nags at me. It has changed how I see her and I have lost respect for her. It stings a little when people here condemn some of us who have lost friendships over this... I am not being recalcitrant or punitive. I am not trying...
My 5 year old is in a booster. He is 44 lbs. I think the key is can your child sit properly in the seat. I "practiced" with my son before we moved full-time into the booster. We drove around town a few times and we took one 1.5 hours trip. I checked on him regularly and reminded him to sit straight, to keep the should belt in the right place, etc. He did sit well in it, so he went into it full-time so my daughter could inherit his radian. If she didn't need the seat,...
My son was in his Radian until 5.5 (44lbs). He liked it and was comfortable in it so he would still be in it if my daughter hadn't needed it.

Thanks for all your posts. It has given me a lot to think about. I think I am just being a little too anxious…To answer some questions, my son did have IQ testing and other academic testing. He is advanced in Math as well. I was told he is well-rounded. I don’t have the evaluation with me at this time so I can’t remember the test measures. He is young for his grade but pretty even socially with his kindergarten classmates. I definitely don’t want him to skip right now. He...
My son just had a gifted evaluation. He is finishing up kindergarten and he is reading at the end of 2nd grade, beginning of 3rd grade level. He is advanced at Math too. He has a great kindergarten teacher who has put so much effort into him. This evaluation was done independently by a psychologist who is not affiliated with the school system. When the school got the results, they were shocked. (Not the K teacher, but the principal and the gifted learning specialist.) They...
My 2.5 year old was using our flowery pink Scenera while my in-laws were visiting. She is close to outgrowing it rearfacing (33lbs) so I tried to convince her to get back in our boring granite Radian (35lbs). She refuses. She wants pink flowers. For now, she can stay in the Scenera but this gives me an excuse to buy her a new seat that rear faces longer! I was on the fence about doing this...Aren't there 3 or 4 seats now that rearface to 40 lbs? Also, I bet I'll make it...

While it does come apart, the back "clicks in" and you can carry it that way without the thing coming apart the way TurboBoosters do. This sounds like it might work for me. I just searched for the seat, and there are several different model numbers/versions. Do you know which one yours is or do you think they are...
