On the topic of asking about experience with shots, I'm supposed to get a steroid shot on Monday... Aside from failing the drug tests for the Olympics, can anyone tell me what I should expect? Anyhow, I'll be 26 weeks and a few days then, and I've had low fluid for a while now (and one ultrasound showed no fluid, but I've had at least some fluid since then and before then) though it's not clear yet when they'll want me to actually check into the hospital (late October...
subbing... It's looking likely I'll have to have a c-section, too, so it's good to read this stuff. (Of course, I'll have to adjust it for my own situation, since it's also likely the baby will have to come early)
I definitely know the feeling like everything is out of your control. Thankfully, for me, the OB who was frustrating me all summer passed me along to someone else (well, not so luckily, since it's because I'm too high risk for her, but I already know the person I'm going to now) since every time I saw her, something about her just grated on me, and I really couldn't pinpoint one particular thing, y'know? I'm just glad my MIL hasn't been talking to us. Thankfully, dh...
The fibroid is only an issue because (a)it's kind of blocking things where it is now, and (b)it looks like the fibroid might be partly attached to it, which is one of the big reasons I've been taking it super easy for most of the pregnancy. The other issues, which may or may not be related, is that I was bleeding on and off through most of June (towards the end of my first trimester) and since late July I've had low fluid, which they said was no fluid 2 weeks ago, but...
I notice that some of you are still with midwives... How'd you manage that? I got exactly one appointment with a midwife back in June, and then after what turned out to be the last bleeding episode I had, they switched me over to the OB. Better yet, now she's turned my care over to the maternal-fetal specialist I've been seeing. Now, it's not a new person, at least, but it's still not someone whom I've specifically chosen, since I just went to the specialist they told...

I can understand on that--so far, our baby hasn't cooperated on letting us know if it's a boy or a girl, though I haven't asked the past two times... (and, of course, the folks at the ultrasound are focusing on other things right now... *sigh*)

Unfortunately, it's not one of the classes they offer online--I checked, since I would have taken it online if that had been an option. I'm just going to have to wait a little longer to get the master's. (and I still need to write a thesis,...
I just noticed this tribe here. My name is Emily. I'm currently at 24 weeks, and I'd been basically limiting activity since the end of June since I had a couple of bleeding scares (really, bleeding or spotting most of June, but two trips to the ER, with the second trip really scary...) and then, two weeks ago, the ultrasound showed no fluid, which thankfully as of yesterday is just really low fluid, so now I'm on modified bedrest. Right now I'm hoping to keep it as...
It's been quiet around here for a while. How is everyone? I had another ultrasound today--I think I mentioned at the last one they saw no fluids. At this one, they did see some fluids, which is an improvement. The specialist didn't seem to think my drinking extra water made the difference, but, um, I've been close to or over a gallon a day, vs maybe half that if I was being careful... Also, the growth is now at 33rd percentile, and 2 weeks ago it was at 20th...
