I didn't have cloth pads as a youngster, but when my DD starts menstruating I intend to start her with the "pantyliner" lightdays pads from GladRags.  They're pretty small and thin but still very absorbant--I remember that my period was pretty light at first, and the pantyliner pads can handle most days of my reasonably heavy adult period. » read more
