BabyHawk Oh SNAP! Baby Carrier

100% Positive Reviews

Pros: easy to get on/off, toddler loves it, super comfy to wear, CUTE

Cons: Wish there was a better head support for sleepy toddlers

I bought this carrier used, if you can call it that. A woman got it for her daughter and the hubbie thought the print was too boyish, so they never even used it! Such a great carrier! My son will be 2 next week, and he still fits in it very comfortably. He love to be carried almost as much as I love to carry him. This carrier is so comfortable!!! The thick, padded shoulder straps and waist strap makes this carrier so nice to wear. Nothing is digging into my skin or hurting me like some carriers do.

The snaps with this carrier make it so quick and easy to put on and take off. We have a wrap to, which I also love, but when I'm shopping... getting in and out of the car a lot, that can be a hassle. This makes is so fast to get things done. I wear my son grocery shopping, around town at local festivals, and even at evening bon-fires when he's tuckered out.

The reason for 4 stars in performance...I think the ONLY thing about this carrier I would improve on is the face that there isn't really a head rest for baby if they want to sleep. I wish this carrier had some kind of optional attachment for better neck support, esp in sleeping toddlers. In all actuality though, this is not a common problem. We really do enjoy this carrier so much!

The ease of adjusting sizes for different wearers is amazing too. My hubbie and I both use it, and it's so easy to pull the straps a bit tighter when I put it on for myself.

And, last but not least, the prints and color options are incredible! These carriers are sooo CUTE!!! You can mix and match to create your own custom carrier on their website! That's a service most other carriers don't provide. wink1.gif

Pros: supportive, padded straps, fits wide range of bodies

Cons: sternum strap can come off, for bigger babies

My son is a chunker, 22 lb at 6 months, so I needed a really supportive carrier. I have a small frame and even with the Ergo straps tightened all the way, it was not snug enough.

The Oh Snap has a longer body, and better padding and shaping in the hips, with straps there to adjust the way it sits. The sternum strap slides over most of the shoulder strap for perfect placement. It does slide off the end and my husband always manages to do that. To tighten the shoulder straps, you reach under your arms, which make it much easier to tighten with the baby on your back.

Babyhawk makes their carriers in a huge variety of fabrics and lets you pick your design. I have washed it several times and it looks like new.

I can comfortably walk a mile, 7 months pregnant, with my 28 lb two year old on my back in this carrier.
