Love it...

review by dayiscoming2006

I love my babytrekker. It's super comfy and once you figure it all out, I find it rather simple to use. My sons both seemed to feel comfortable in it and I was able to use it with my second boy from birth to a bit over 18 months with no issues. I'd have used it longer but I mostly use it to take walks and started letting him walk around with us a little after that and then I got preggo again and carriers just don't work so well when you're pregnant.

Anyway, I look forward to using it with my third child. I'd certainly recommend it and really like the new feature of the stirrups. I'll have to see if those are available separately to use with the older carriers maybe. I think the stirrups are an answer to the problem of kids kicking the backs of your legs when you carry them in the back carry.

It has the ability for multiple carry positions. The 2 back carry positions are the biggest challenge at first but I figured it out pretty quickly and I really like the backpack style carry position once my boy was old enough.

ProsCons
Very comfortable, compact and lightweightslight learning curve

Hated it!

review by paxye

I bought the Trekker when my first was young and it was one of the only ones available of its kind. I found it too bulky and it was hard to adjust because the position it needed was right between one of the clasps.

The Trekker doesn't put the baby in the natural knees above bum position that is recommended for safe baby wearing and instead the knees are low and the baby is suspended by the crotch and the head isn't supported at all when baby falls asleep.

I also didn't like that the facing out on back position that they advocate. The baby's back is rounded against the parents back in a very awkward position.

ProsCons
folds into its own pouchBulky, uncomfortable, hard to adjust

My first baby carrier.

review by sweetestday

I have used my babytrekker for all three of my sons. I find it works best for older infants and young toddlers. My favorite feature of the trekker is how it folds into it's own pocket while not in use. I keep it under the backseat of our van so I'll always have a carrier with us. It is still in amazing condition, and I look forward to using it with our fourth child next year.

ProsCons
Comfortable and easy to carry around while not in use.It takes a while to figure out how to use it while alone.

Babytrekker

review by liz

We used our Babytrekker for our son from new born to about 1.5 and then lent it to two other families. It's still in perfect shape. My husband preferred to wear it on his back while I wore it on my front with baby facing me. We used it in any situation where a stroller would be too big: shopping in small stores, taking public transit, hiking, festivals, etc. Living in the city, it was actually more useful than the stroller. Fastening the padded belt tightly above your hips takes most of the weight off your shoulders. I tried a Baby Bjorn once and found it very uncomfortable because all the weight was on my shoulders. I've never tried a sling but I would think for longer hauls the Trekker would be much better for your back especially with older/larger babies.

ProsCons
Comfortable for men and womenGood for long hauls not for around the house.

BabyTrekker Best Thing I Ever Bought

review by crystal kolt

The Baby Trekker allowed me to do what I wanted when I wanted to do it. My fussy baby didn't care where I went. He just always wanted to be with me. This carrier is comfortable and easy to wear.

Comfortable and Happy Baby
