Pros: Stays on, easy to see baby, lightweight, great patterns
There aren't many times when I feel like I need a nursing cover. I'm a discreet nurser (or at least, I try to be!) even without one. But, then there are times when it's a MUST have, such as when flying with your 3 month old and being squeezed between the baby's seat and a newly-ex-Marine. That was one day I was particularly glad to have my Bebe au Lait nursing cover!
The cover is well-designed and easy to use. An adjustable neck strap makes it easy to get on one-handed as well as to keep it there, no matter how much fiddling around it takes to get the baby situated. The ingenious thing about Bebe au Lait (though others may have copied it by now) is the boning in the top of the cover, which creates an opening that only you can see through. The adjustable neck strap means you can get the arched opening in just the right spot to easily keep an eye on the little one. A bit of terry cloth on one corner comes in handy for wiping up dribbles and small spit ups, and the whole thing is machine washable.
For those who are more comfortable nursing in public with a cover or who need it for certain, more challenging situations, the Bebe au Lait is a great choice!
