Not for plus size moms

Posted

Pros: Cute

Cons: Straps dig badly

I bought this on a recommendation of a friend, and really wish I hadn't. The adjustable straps in the back are genius, but they dig into my shoulders so badly I just can't handle wearing it very long. This is not a plus size mama friendly carrier.

A superb carrier from birth through

Posted

Pros: Bright prints, clear instructions, easy to use.

Cons: Straps don't cross for a front carry

Overall a superb carrier that is perfect if only wanting to buy one carrier. I love the array of prints and as a sling librarian it is one of the carriers we hire the most. I like how it is suitable from birth through to preschooler and my 3 year old. My baby outgrew newborn hold at 12lb though. I would also prefer straps that cross when wearing baby n my front.   The size of baby means it is bigger than most ssc's and I would happily recommend to all parents.    Disclosure: I am a boba ambassador and receive gifts for taking part in online activities but all views are my own.

Boba 3G Carrier: An Essential Item of Baby Gear

Posted

Pros: Comfortable, Promotes Bonding, Durable, Stylish, Reliable, Easy to Use, Long Lasting

Cons: Few Pattern Choices

Overall Thoughts: I love the Boba 3G carrier. I have worn several (Beco, Ergo, BabyBjorn), but the Boba 3G carrier has been an essential baby gear item for me as it has an extremely comfortable fit, has a higher height for toddler babywearing, has an innovate foot-strap attachment, and my son enjoys being worn in it. It has been so helpful when running errands, being hands-free, calming him during fussy illness or teething phases, but, most importantly, it has been incredible for bonding. As a working mom, I am not able to be with my son all day while I am at the office. We look forward to being close to each other after work/daycare hours and babywearing has been amazing for...

Favorite Carrier, Hands-down!

Posted

Pros: High back, slim design, great pockets, no need for a waist extender

Cons: I am not a huge fan of the newborn setting (the snaps seem to come undone on me a lot)

I have worn a bunch of carriers (Ergo, Onya, Tula, Moby, Sakura Bloom, etc.) and the 3G by Boba is my favorite, hands-down.  **Note, I am an Ambassador for Boba, but was wearing one long before I was an Ambassador.  And this is what I tell my family and friends! :)** Here’s what I love: 1. The ease of use – it can be adjusted quickly between wearers. 2. I can wear it around my waist all day.  When P isn’t in it, I simply clip the chest strap around my waist also and it is out of my way.  This is how I often do errands to make it easy to pop him in and out.  It can also easily hang in front of me and not get in my way. 3. The slim pockets!  one in the...

My Favourite Carrier

Posted

Pros: Great for baby through to toddler, Excellent weight distribution, Love the foot straps, Comfortable to wear while pregnant

Cons: Could use more fun patterns, Not available in enough stores

My family LOVES the Boba 3G! My husband and I both liked it so much that we each got our own carrier so we wouldn't have to readjust it when we shared. ;)    We've worn our daughter in the 3G since she was around 10 months old. If I had known about it before then I would have worn her much earlier! We tried the Ergo first and I hated it... it wasn't the right fit for my body (or my husband's). The 3G has lots of padding so even carrying my now 2.5 year old is comfortable! My husband routinely takes her for 5km hikes in the 3G and they are both comfortable.   I'm currently 19 weeks pregnant with our 2nd child and still able to wear the toddler in the Boba. I can't...

Attractive, comfortable and worth every penny.

Pros: comfortable, multi-use, padded, washable, easy to use, able to nurse in dicreetly, easy to adjust and quick to put on

Cons: none

I was naive with my first child thinking I didn't need a carrier and was not going be buying into all the must have products.  Ha ha, that did not last too long especially after joining some mommy groups and seeing their cool "baby gadgets."  A friend of mine had a beautiful( purplish in color)  Boba carrier that she let a few of us try out.  She had been to a carrier store which taught her how to use it and after reading the reviews I think this is so important in order to get the most out of your carrier. Well, in any case I quickly  purchased one and  I've been using mine since my LO was three months and comfortably carried him...

Best carrier out there!

Posted

Pros: Comfortable, easy to put on, versatile

Cons: None

I've been using my Boba 3G since my son was 6 weeks old. I LOVE this carrier. It is versatile and you can carry an infant without buying a separate infant accessory. I can carry my 11 month old 25 lb son for hours comfortably. My son loves to be carried and I can't imagine grocery shopping without it! It's easy to put on by myself and it adjusts to fit my 6 foot 250 lb husband. I love that we can both use the same carrier. I literally take it with me everywhere. Love this carrier!!!

Very good carrier, adjustable to fit many different body types

Posted

Pros: easy to use, comfortable, easy to breastfeed in

Cons: I was underwhelmed by the choices of prints, unless it is adjusted *justright* there is an uncomfortable rubbing on the back of the arms

Overall I think this is a great baby carrier. I recently took it on vacation with my 6 month old. I didn't bring any other carrier or a stroller so it got a lot of use. When I first started using it I found it difficult to get the back strap snapped in a front carry but I have gotten better at it. I love that it can be adjusted so as to be comfortable for a wide range of users, but the downside of all the ways it can be adjusted is that once you get it just the way you want it you almost don't want to share it and have all your settings messed up! I am a plus-sized woman and can't comfortably wear an Ergo or Ergo Sport I have room to spare in the Boba. The fabric is a lint magnet and...

Great, stylish carrier

Posted
I was provided the Boba 3G to review by the Mothering Mavens program. My partner and I used this with our 18 pound 9 month old and our 28 pound 15 month old. When the Boba arrived, it was packaged simply and attractively. The fabric is soft, sturdy and the print cute. I found the strap adjustments very logical and comfortable. The sliding mechanism where the chest strap connects to the shoulder straps is easy to use with the baby on front or back. The curve of the shoulder straps helps the carrier feel secure; in the front carry I never felt like it would slip off my shoulders. The wide pocket and lower attachment of the shoulder strap give structure to the carries. The babies feel well...

My new favorite carrier!

Posted

Pros: Beautiful print, easy to use and adjust

Cons: Fabric picks up lint easily, sleeping hood isn't supportive

I started using the Boba about a month ago when my son was 14 months old. It has been a wonderful carrier for us! I had been using a Beco Gemini, which I loved, with him since he was a newborn, but I have to admit that I haven't touched it since the Boba arrived. The Boba 3G just has such a great fit for a toddler. He is well supported, and I can tell that there is room to grow.   I really like the carrier's simple straps. I can easily adjust it while wearing it. I find it quite easy to balance my toddlers weight between my hips and shoulders by adjusting the straps. Also, the carrier is beautiful!   The pockets are a nice touch. They are very small, however, but I can...
