the perfect car seat

I was lucky enough to have a big fellow at home and so I didn't have to get the infant seat before starting with the convertible. The built in infant cushion worked just fine for our purposes by the time we actually left the house with him.Actually, I was doubly lucky because a friend bought this for me and I didn't have to pay for it. She bought it for me because she so strongly recommended it over all the other car seats out there... and the last time she used one was almost ten years ago, so I think the fact that she still remembered it is worth noting. The straps don't twist. That's the biggest thing she told me... and while I don't really have anything to compare it to, the straps...

Pros: secure fits a smaller car, higher weight limit

Cons: hard to tighten straps - have to ratchet

This is my go to seat. I had purchased this originally for my daughter, but was persuaded to try the Radian which I also like. however, the Radian doesnt fit well in my car rear facing. This one does, it is easy to install using latch system, can be rear facing for a longer time (weight limit) than many other brands - that is something that is important to me. I am intending to keep my daughter rear facing for as long as possible. I love the additional head support and protection and that moves up and down easily. i do find the straps hard to tighten and loosen, and am yet to take the cover off to be washed and am a little daunted by the prospect of unthreading and rethreading straps....
