My birth at Special Beginnings was the most positive experience of my life.  I had some complications- water breaking 3 days before ctx with light meconium, but it was treated with evidence-based practice and calm.  David was my "labor sitter" and I ended up finally giving birth with another midwife after putting him through 8 overnight hours of my mooing and pacing, but I never felt anything but positive support.  In fact, he left my husband and I completely alone together except for once per hour when he came in to listen with the Doppler, which is exactly what I needed.  I know I would have had a cesarean if I had gone to any other practice.
