We did EC with a bowl for the first several weeks.  Then at 3.5 months we moved her onto the real toilet on this potty seat.  I'm so glad we did.  So nice to just sit them down, let them do their thing, wipe, then flush. I didn't mind cleaning out that little bowl for the first few months.  But after that?  I was glad to get rid of that step.  

These are perfect for little ones learning to use the big potty. The handles make it easy to take them off and put them back on, and you can hang them on the side of the counter or wall by the handle.  The cartoon characters help make the potty less scary. You can usually find a couple of different cartoon options.  We throw this in the car when we go on long trips because my little one is scared of gas station potties.  No complaints!
