Our Favorite Board Game
Pros: Fun, adapts to player's level
Cons: none
This game is so great! We have been playing it with my 8 and 9 year old daughters nonstop since Christmas. They are both very good at math, but I think it would be good for kids that need help with it, too. The great thing is that they can usually play independently, making more simple equations, but when they don't have anything easy to do then we can help them and teach them some new things. Their fraction skills have greatly improved since we started playing.
This game is really good for practicing skills that will be really useful for algebra in a few years, and trig identities in a few more years.
I especially like that we can order an easier set of tiles for when our youngest daughter starts playing, and a harder set of tiles for later on.
On top of all that, we just really have a lot of fun playing Equate.
