Pros: comfortable, adjustable absorbency, easy to clean
Cons: kits are pricey
I love Gladrags! They are the only cloth menstrual pad that I have found that is very comfortable, easy to wash, and also doesn't shrink much in the washer/dryer. I currently have the solid white organic day pads and night pads that were from a kit I bought off their website. These pads consist of a pad shell with wings and 2 liners. They also have metal snaps that are easy to snap and don't rust. You can use either one or both of the liners, depending on how heavy your flow is. This is great if you are very heavy the first two days of your period and then it slows down toward the end. Gladrags organic pads do not have any waterproof backing to them, but I have found that they absorb well, yet rarely leak.
The main difference between the day pads and night pad is the length, and that the night pad has an extra layer of absorbent cotton for the pad shell. Women who are overweight or have just had a baby would like the night pad, because of the extra lenght and absorbency. I found that the night pads are excellent for when you are out and about, but don't have a chance to change your pad right away.
Gladrags are also great for people who are in wheelchairs, since they are comfortable and don't rub against your skin the wrong way. From my experience, this can greatly cut back on rashes and pressure sores. Overall, they are an excellent pad for any women, young or old.
