Works Like Expected

Pros: works like expected; strong

These work as I hoped they would for my part-time nursing. I like that I can places these laying down in the freezer to save space. Nice place on there for writing the date. These have held up well and I will continue to use them!

Pros: marked to measure

Cons: none

I used these for the short period of time I pumped they worked out nicely for me. They are clearly marked to measure ounces. Since I only used them for a short period of time I use the ones I have left over to give my other kiddies as snack bags .

Only bags I used

Pros: Easy to use, easy to store

Cons: Not terribly accurate measurements

I used these bags for my small stash after exclusively pumping. They worked well, as expected. I like that the place where you write the date and whatnot isn't on the storage part of the bag, that it's on the zip-lock side.   I don't think the measurements of how much liquid is in the bag is very accurate, so don't rely on that.   My tip is to put the bag in the freezer laying flat and then have a shoe box or similar in there to stack them all. I started off just placing them in the freezer standing up and then had this mountain of balls of frozen milk! Not easy to store ;)

great inexpensive bags

Pros: double zips, easy to writeon surface clear measurements

Cons: no sticky loop to hook over pump and keep in place.

These bags are great...inexpensive compared to Medela and i love the double zip feature to make sure the milk stays where it is supposed to. I was using these with a Medela Pump In Style pump and so had to adapt the bags for that. I used blue painters tape (which I had handy) to tape the bag to the pump - not pretty, but very functional. They stayed in place well using that method - I didnt have any fails! I like that the bag has clearly marked measurements and an easy to write on surface at the top!

Worked fine for me

I would just pour my milk in the bag from the bottle I pumped into. The good thing about the storage bags is that the milk thaws/warms up faster than in a bottle. I didn't experience any problems with these bags.

I've tried the rest. These are best!

Pros: slim, double sealed, quick freezing/thawing

After trying the Ameda bags (came free with my pump), the Medela bags (bought in a pinch), and these, I have to say, there's no contest, and for one key reason:   they're long and slim! Duh, it's simple physics.  If you throw a bag that's longer and flatter in the freezer, there's more surface area, so it freezes faster.  Same goes for thawing-- a bag with more surface area will thaw faster.     It ain't rocket science but I just can't figure out why other manufacturers haven't caught on.  The other bags are smaller which seems nice and all, but they're just not as handy when you have a crying hungry baby and a huge block-bag of milk to thaw. ...

These are my favorite breast milk storage bags

Posted

Pros: lay flat or stand up, easy to read, pour well

Cons: I remember they were a little pricey

I don't remember how much I paid for these, but I do know that they were my favorite of the different milk storage bags I tried. They were easy to write on and had a line to identify who's milk it is and when you pumped it. This makes it very easy for other caregivers to make sure that the right baby is getting the right milk. I also like that the design of the bags allows you to lay them flat for easy mass storage and quick thawing. You also have the option of freezing them in an upright position. The pour spout was easy to pour from as well and has a ziplock incase you want to save some for later in the day in the fridge.

Great Storage Bag for the Money

I debated on which breastmilk storage bag to buy and I am glad I went with these. These are less pricey than the Medela bags, which were the other option I was looking at. I have never had a problem with them. They don't leak. They don't smell. They are easy to pour milk into a bottle from. I also think the Medela bags that attach to the pump would just end up being a pain in the neck, because I like being able to determine how much milk goes into each bag.

Not bad!

Pros: Seals well, freezes well

Cons: not the cheapest brand out there

I've bought MANY breastmilk bags with working full-time with 2 babies, and these bags are strong and reliable. They seal well, freeze well, and are easy to find in most stores. I personally prefer the Nuk brand bags over these because they perform just as well and cost a little bit less. Also, just keep in mind that the ounce measurements on the bag do not match how milk would measure in the bottle. All that said, this is a solid product that performs well and comes from a trustworthy brand.

best bags

Pros: they don't have plastiscizers

Cons: they can crack if you drop them when they are frozen

These bags work very well!  I have used them for my 14months of breastfeeding my son and continue to use them with breastfeeding my 9 month old baby girl.  I put the milk in, get all the air out and freeze them flat.  The tab on the end has a place for you to write the date and amount of milk.  They do not have any plasticizers that can leach into the milk, but that does make them crack if they get dropped while frozen.
