Little Tikes Baby Tap a Tune Piano

I found this Tap-A-Tune paino for my neice at a local Goodwill store.  This way, she'd have something to play with at my apartment when I was baby sitting her.  She loves this toy. It has 4 buttons that are blue, yellow, green and orange. The paino operates by a baby hitting the buttons in the front (no batteries required, yea!).  When you hit one of the buttons, it dings like a xylophone.  I liked that you didn't have to use a small mallet like you would on a toddler xylophone to play the buttons.  The piano was also very portable and compact.  We even brought it to church for Brianna to play with in the nursery during services.  If you can get your toddler any musical toy, this is the one to get. 

My son absolutely loves to bang on this piano. I love that is is small enough to put in the toy box and durable enough that it will be around for many years to come. It is slightly annoying that it is off key but it is not the end of the world.

I think this piano is adorable and I loved that my son could sit in my lap and play it as soon as we got it (he was 6 months old). But there are only 4 keys and they aren't C,D,E,F like you would think they'd be. It drives me a little insane that it doesn't play a scale. Next piano we get will definitely have a full scale. But for a baby piano with 4 keys it's not bad. My son loved it, and I love to see him enjoying music and cause-and-effect. It is hard to clean because of the metal keys on top-my son drew all over it once and I was never able to get it completely clean because of the design. But it's sturdy and I know it will last many kids.
