Literally changed my life

Pros: long lasting, comfortable, value

I have used Lunapads for more than 12 years now. When I first started using them, in my very early twenties, I was no where close to becoming a mother, but using alternative menstrual products was a very important step in connecting to my cycle and my body, knowledge which would in the end really help me in a struggle with infertility in my early 30s.    I still have some of the first Lunapads I acquired over a decade ago and they're going strong. I'll admit, at the time they seemed like quite an investment on my limited income, but when I think back to how much I've saved, they've paid back in spades.    I literally love my Lunapads. Of all the cloth options...

Starter Kit Success!

Pros: Comfortable, absorbent, reusable, good value

Cons: Didn't love the winged liners, but they still got the job done

Wanting to take a more sustainable approach to my period, I'd bought a Divacup in May. I didn't have much luck (or patience), but thankfully my sample of Lunapads arrived in time for my next cycle!  I LOVE them. Love love love love love.  They completely exceeded my expectations in every way.  I'd just thought that they would be a bit of a hassle, but worth the effort as I wouldn't be throwing away tons of pads anymore.  I had no idea that they would be so comfortable and absorbent (for sure more so than any disposable pad I've used), nor did I have any idea that I could actually BE comfortable while wearing pads! I often get sores/rashes from disposable...

Lunapads Starter Kit

Posted

Pros: Reusable, Economical, Green, Easy, Well Made

Cons: Rick Rack gets dirty, wings of liner don't have a way to stay put

Having received a Lunapads starter kit to try, I was very excited and was not disappointed! Lunapads are very well constructed,  easy to use, economical and most importantly, work very well. Lunapads construction has proven to be excellent and lasts through soaking and washing perfectly (especially in conjunction with specially formulated Rock'N Green laundry soap). While they have been subject to a few stains, particularly the lighter colored liners and rick rack, it hasn't been a problem for the most part with soaking taking care of most of it before it sets in. Overall, the rick rack design performs well for keeping the liners in place with very little bunching. I'd like to see...

Give them a try :)

Pros: environmentally friendly, fun colors and patterns, absorbent

Cons: bulky with liners in. a little expensive to buy

July 28, 2011 Lunapad review            By Amy McCarty First things first, let me tell you how much I LOVE cloth menstrual pads. I made the switch after our family started using cloth diapers and I came across them online. I thought “hum, odd I wonder what this is all about?” So I looked more into it. I discovered nothing bad and only good from everyone I asked. So I thought I would pick some up myself. Then I found they are a little expensive, so I had some handmade for me. BUT if you do the math, even one pad being $10 will save you money because you reuse them forever (or a very long time). That is how I started my stash. I...
