Great wrap!

Posted
I use this a lot around the house.  My baby girl enjoys being in it.  I haven't had a problem with it stretching out too much.  I've washed it 3 times and the color has not faded.  Very easy to use once you know the basic set-up wrap.  I like the black because it looks good with all my clothing choices!

Great for Newborns

Posted

Pros: snug, skin to skin

Cons: a bit tricky to use

This wrap is great for newborns - keeps them very close to you and warm and snug. It is a bit tricky to understand how to tie, but once you get the hang of it, it's pretty easy.

Moby wrap

Posted

Pros: Cozy, comfortable, lightweight

Cons: Time inefficient, unable to back carry, gets stretched out between washes

The moby wrap, although time consuming to put on, is quite comfortable for me and my four-month-old. We have worn it hiking and at the beach, but my complaint is, when we are out and it's just the two of us running errands, I would prefer a carrier easier to put on and take off. It also stretches a lot between washes, which can make baby droop during long wearings. Overall, it has been useful, though, and much more comfortable for me as the wearer than a hand-me-down baby bjorn I was given.

Good for newborns with colic

Posted

Pros: light weight and portable

Cons: Not good for heavier babies

It took me a lot of practice to get the wrapping down. I was too slow, or too tight or too loose. But now it is fast and easy.  I used it a lot when my boy was a newborn; it really helped with his colic.  He would stop crying and go to sleep and I could get work done.  I stopped using it my son was 7 months old because he got too heavy for this type of wrap.

MOBY is my hero!

Posted

Pros: So comfortable, It is easy to clean, Keeps the baby close to my heart,Baby LOVES it,he is always happy to be in it, there are several ways to wear it.

Cons: It takes some practice tying it, If you are a bigger hipped gal the Moby does shrink and needs to be stretched before you can comfortably wear it.

I was SO pleased with my Moby Classic Wrap that THIS is the exact post I made about it on my facebook page:    My mom just bought a MOBY wrap for Christopher and me. I swear that I always thought they were for smelly hippies before today, I LOVE MINE> more importantly, Christopher loves it but do not think for one second that I have become a proud rainbow sister.....seriously these MOBY wraps are AWESOME, and totally not for smelly hippies. http://www.mobywrap.com/

Love my moby wrap

Posted

Pros: baby loves it, convenient, fairly comfy

Cons: hurts back, difficult to get on, may be stressful on baby's hips

Pro's: Overall I love the Moby wrap and use it constantly. My son falls to sleep in it within 5 minutes, every time, guaranteed, and will sleep through anything. When his head is tucked in (he is 2.5 mos, so still small), I can move with complete freedom even bend over and I trust that he is safely secured. It's great for doing housework in and fairly comfy.   Con's:  Is a bigger pain to put on than others, my soft-shelled carrier is preferred for shopping trips, also due in part to the moby being so long it is hard to put in on in a parking lot without the ends dragging on the ground.  DH likes it, but generally needs some help getting it on. Also does not seem...

Wonderful Wraps for babies!

Posted

Pros: Comfortable, affordable, versatle

Cons: time to put on, gets loose after long wear with larger babies/toddlers

Overall, I really love this wrap. It's an especially great wrap for new babies! It worked so awesome for my son when he was little. He's 2 now, and I can still use this wrap with him, but b/c it's a stretchy wrap, it does get a little loose over time. It's an easy fix, we just re-wrap. That's normal with stretchy wraps though, and it's def worth it for the price you pay. These are a great introductory wrap. They fit over your shoulders so nice, so you don't have material digging in. I love that you can wear the wraps in so many different ways... that versatility is really nice as your child grows. I have the UV protection wrap, and I love that it has spf 50 protection. I chose...

Enjoyable Wrap

Posted

Pros: nice variety, comfy

Cons: inconvenient to put on, can be too warm

I only used Moby for 4.5months because I left it at home before we moved abroad. I have it again and will likely use it with our newborn I'm expecting. I really enjoyed the texture of the moby and the variety of carries it offered. I also like variety of colors. Moby has grown in popularity so there are many places to find/purchase it which means there are many resources online for assistance if you need help. I loved wearing the Moby in my daughters early months.   My complaint is that its difficult to get on easily. If I didn't put it on before I left the house and wear it while I travelled, I'd have it dragging on the ground as I tied it on afterwards.  It seems minor...

Loved it

Posted

Pros: weight was evenly distributed

Cons: lots of fabric

Once I was shown the moby wrap it was all I wanted.  My heavy baby no longer hurt my back to wear.  I was able to cook, vacuum and walk while being close to my little one.  I would highly recommend it if you have someone near you who can show you how to wear it.

Pros: very secure, comfy, easy for discreet breastfeeding

Cons: very warm, you have to "get the hang of" it

It can take a few tries to get used to using the Moby, but when you do it is easy secure and allows for awesome bonding. Its easy to breastfeed in (just wiggle your LO down a bit and expose and latch. For even more discreet BFing you can pull the shoulder portion right up to LO's cheek. The only down side is its very warm for my sweaty baby, but perfect for keeping warm in the cold months. Its easy to just leave on when you get in and out of the car so there isn't a whole lot of un/re-tying it. just once a day on and once a day off. I prefer a sling for simple quick trips though.
