Natural Bug Blend Bug Repellent Spray Reviews

Works

Posted

Pros: It works, doesn't use harmful chemicals, available locally (Target)

Cons: has a smell (but the smell doesn't bother my sensitivity), cost

This works. Even in Florida swamp. Is there a better review than that?   I get headaches from perfume smells. This has a smell but it doesn't give me a headache.

Favorite of all the sprays

Posted

Pros: Sprays on evenly, spray nozzle never clogs or leaks, WORKS except when wet

Cons: Expensive, if you're working out and really sweating doesn't stay on as well as an oil base one like the Burt's bees

Our favorite is the don't bite me patch but this is our favorite spray.

Very effective repellent

Posted

Pros: All-natural; smells nice; easy to apply

Cons: Can be hard to find

I love this repellent. I am very sensitive to mosquito bites, so when I'm out at night in mosquito infested areas, I always use this on myself and my family. I've used this successfully while at Disney World and in Ohio. It is sometimes stocked at Target here in California, but if not, I can purchase it online. I use a lot of California Baby products, and they work well.

works well for most days ;)

Pros: works well, not expensive, refillable with an easy homemade mix

Cons: don't like this containter, DEET is still better

I'm a big fan of natural bug spray, but then, I have to wear the stuff from June through September almost daily if we get bugs of any kind.  For a few mosquitos on the lake, or on the 4th of July where there's already some smoke cover, this works.  Nothing can replace DEET for effectiveness when you have a little sky with your mosquitos but it gets close enough for most days.  And making your own refill is pretty simple.  1/4 of an ounce of citronella essential oil, fill 3/4 of the bottle with aloe vera juice, and add another 1/8 ounce of another essential oil for smell (I prefer cedar, this one uses lemongrass which is nice too).
