I researched prenatals for a while before I settled on this one. I wanted a vitamin that was derived from whole foods and that was organic. It was also really important to me that it contain actual folate and not folic acid. I took it all throughout pregnancy and now while nursing as well. I feel like you actually absorb the nutrients and don't just pee them out.
I've been using these almost my entire pregnancy and think they are great. I try to buy them on sale, because they are pretty expensive. I like knowing that there is nothing artificial in the vitamins and that they are whole/ raw foods. It helps me feel confident that I'm getting the nutrients I need while I breast feed.
Pros
Cons
Whole/ raw food vitamins, can take on empty stomach
I first started using these pre-natals when we started trying to conceive & noticed an immediate difference in my energy levels. Throughout my pregnancy they never made me feel sick. I still use them now since I am breastfeeding & may continue beyond that.
Many people who are sensitive to gluten are also unable to tolerate oats (even ones marked gluten-free). The herbal blend in this vitamin contains oats, but it is still technically gluten-free. Because of the small amount contained, it took a while for a reaction to emerge.
If you are unsure, I'd recommend the small bottle first to see if you can tolerate it. They are otherwise great vitamins.
They are great! They are made through a process that actually breaks things down further than other vitamins and make them easier to digest. The herbs and probiotics in the vitamins actually help with nautia.
I started taking these vitamins before I became pregnant and I love them. I love the fact that they are all natural, and don't have a bunch of artificial ingredients like most prenatals in stores. They are a little on the pricey side, but you can't put a price on yours and your baby's health.
I love these vitamins. They are easy to digest, with no after taste or heartburn. They are packed with good stuff- vitamins, minerals, herbs and more. I feel great taking them and I feel like I'm getting all I need. I love the organic ginger and tumeric farm where this company started. Recommend them highly!!

no heartburn or after taste, easy to digest, good stuff
I gave them a try and was ready switch very fast. Was glad to find raw vitamins in capsules that left no aftertaste and nausea. If you need name and brand PM me
Pros
Cons
Not raw, big pills, make feel nauseous, low calcium
I was hoping these would be better than others I'd tried, but the aren't. I can't get past the smell half of the time and the taste going down is terrible. I just do not understand why a whole food prenatal cannot be made with no taste or smell. Bleh! I think I will be going back to my previous vitamins and adding a folic acid supplement. The price is ok, but I think it could be better. It's not as pricey as the Innate vitamins I tried before. Those are almost $60 a bottle.
I took these when pregnant with my 2nd child, I liked them they had everything extra I was not eating regularly but the price was a bit high, bought them at sprouts health food market. I purchased the largest bottle they had on sale. I did not follow the recommendation of three a day I took two because I found if I too three it made me feel a little sick. On a side note my sister-in-law bought them and told her ob she was taking them, and she told her to stop and get the prescription kind, why? I still don't know but I will get them again with this one I'm now 6wks yeah!!
