Palmers Cocoa Butter Nursing Cream 1.1 oz. With Free Pads (Case of 6) Reviews

Mosaic

Very gentle

Posted

Pros: soothing, gentle, not sticky

Cons: not as healing as other creams

I used this in the early days nursing my second, tongue-tied baby. I found lansinoh cream to be so thick and sticky that it didn't spread well and made my skin stick to my breast pads (and stained my pads, too). I looked for something that would be gentle, more of a cream instead of an ointment, and I really liked this product. It was soothing and protected my skin more so that it wouldn't stick to my pads. I found it more of a moisturizing product whereas I see Lansinoh as a stronger barrier. I'd recommend this product for sore, irritated, slightly damaged skin but I don't think it would be the best product for very cracked, damaged, bleeding nipples.
