Seven Sling Reviews

Backroads

Works fine as a "just a sling" but not the best for long-term babywearing.

Posted

Pros: Cute range of fabrics, tight-fitting sling for baby

Cons: Can't really do anything but hold baby

I bought one of these as the company is a local one for me and I try to support local.  I love the variety of patterns and I found the sizing to be, if complicated to figure out, very true and fits well.  I loved this as a small-baby sling, but I prefer more of hands-free carrier, and this doesn't work for me.  This is about as basic as a sling can be, so you have to take it for what it's worth.

Great Pouch Sling

Posted

Pros: Easy to put on, Comfortable to Wear, Great Price

Cons: If the fit is right it can be tricky to get baby in and out as they grow, until they're ready for a new position

The Seven Sling was my first sling and while I "upgraded" to the Maya eventually this sling was great with my tiny newborn and made breastfeeding while babywearing simple and discreet.    Maybe because I am new to babywearing... I found the pouch style a bit more constricting as baby grew and moved to the Maya, Now that my LO is 7 months I may pull this one out again and try it in the hip hold position.   For any mom looking to *try* babywearing, this would be a good first step. It's inexpensive enough to "upgrade" if you decide you like it and i's durable enough to keep around for continued use.
