Better than a Moby

Posted
I LOVE my sleepy wrap. Much better than a Moby. It is thinner and therefore not as bulky. It is aslo super soft ( think of a worn in old tee shirt ) and stretchy. The stretch of the fabric makes it easier to get baby in. You just need to make sure to wrap it TIGHT, so baby does not slip. I teach babywearing classes and this is a favorite by everyone. This is better for babies until they are big enough to be carried on your back, then I switch to a Mei Tai

love love love my sleepy wrap!

Pros: safe and snuggly affordable looks good folds up compactly available in many colors daddy friendly unisex design

Cons: sometimes too warm and has a learning curve not always the best for breastfeeding not great for lots of ups and downs

The sleepy wraps have really worked well for us, we started at 2 weeks and he is 4 months now, there was a short time when it wasn't working because he was stretching his legs out trying to stand and kick but after I figured out he just needed his legs out he was ready to go again.  Breastfeeding - it's been a little difficult, basically if we are both calm and maybe even have a mirror he can get in it right and I look pretty decent and he can still look around while he eats but that said I don't recommend it if your hot and uncomfortable and nervous in a crowd and your baby is hot and hungry and crying then not so much. Forward facing - although nap.com does not say that the...

great for newborns

Posted

Pros: comfortable, easy to tie, inexpensive

Cons: a little tough to get baby in, felt like I had to check frequently to make sure infant was able to breathe

I used my Sleepy Wrap for every nap during my son's newborn days. I found it very easy to use, though I did have trouble on occasion getting him into it as you have to tie it tightly for it to support the baby. It was not expensive, so it was a great way to try out babywearing as a FTM. Not sure if it was just my new-Momness, but I did feel I had to check frequently to ensure that baby's face wasn't covered and he was able to breathe (he was fine every time, of course). Good wrap!

LOVE this wrap!

Pros: comfortable, doesn't hurt my back, baby LOVES it!

Cons: Takes a bit of practice to feel comfortable using it.

I love this wrap!  I have four children, and only knew about the Sleepy wrap with Child #4.  Wish I knew about it sooner.    I love it b/c of the head support for the baby when I bend over, for not hurting my back, for how much my baby loves it, for holding my friend's twin babies when she could find no way to hold them both, for looking just cool, and for making my life with 4 so much easier.      Great wrap!

Comfy but inconvenient

Posted

Pros: Comfortable, soft, versatile

Cons: Inconvenient and can't hold toddlers easily.

I like this for the versatility of positioning but it just isn't very convenient to put on and off.  It seems like a nicer fabric than the Moby I used to have.  For long walks it is wonderful.

Love This Wrap.

Pros: So soft, easy to use (once you learn how to wrap), portable, washable and comfy for mom and baby

Cons: Hard to keep clean if you are wraping in a strange place.

I love this wrap, had another less stretchy wrap, but the Sleepy is more comfortable and I think breathable and easier to use.   People think it's complicated, but it's not. It's quite easy to learn to use and comfortable for wearer and baby.  I love that it's totally washable, easy to store and the color is beautiful. It can be hard to wrap and keep off the ground, so I wrap at home before going out, since wrapping in the parking lot isn't easy or fun. It's so comfortable I end up wearing it and forgetting it's there when the baby's not in it.   About the color, saddly, if you have a girl, some people, not matter what your kid is wearing will still assume it's a...

Great wrap!

Posted

Pros: stretchy, comfortable, easy to use

Cons: slight learning curve

I really love this wrap. It's got a nice stretch to it which allows you to put the wrap on a little snug, put baby in and you're done. Unlike some other carriers, this method allows you not to need to adjust the carrier once baby is in. It can be a real time saver!

Most Valuable Baby Item We Own

Posted

Pros: Light weight, supportive, comfortable, ergonomically correct

Cons: has a learning curve, takes practice to nurse in

My husband and I both LOVE to wear our child in this wrap. It is comfortable for both of us to wear. We like the light-weight material and the fact that it has a little give, but keeps baby snug and secure. After a few times practicing putting it on, it is easy to master. The customer service for the company is incredible as well. They e-mailed 6 months after I purchased to check on my satisfaction and replaced the product at no cost when it developed 2 small holes in an inconspicuous spot. Fantastic wrap!
