works like Desitin in a cuter box

Posted

Pros: works, natural, smells nice

Cons: not cd friendly, bag balm is still more effective

A friend gave us this for DD#2, and we finally ran out of Desitin so recently we tried this. It works, but not as good as less expensive bagbalm.   PRO -works  -cute box -smells nice -available at most natural food stores where we regularly shop   CON -the metal bottle is hard to squeeze down -not cd appropriate - bag balm is still more effective -does not come in a jar   I like it, but I still prefer my green tin cans.:)

Very Good

Pros: Works fast, smells great

Cons: pricey

I've tried many diaper creams, and this is my favorite.  Natural, smells great, works well, wipes off pretty easily.

Our go-to product for all baby bottom care!

Posted

Pros: Natural, effective, and soothing

Cons: on the pricey side

We have 5 children, with another on the way.  We have always used Weleda.  We use Weleda's Calendula Cream as our go-to product for all baby bottom care.  If we end-up for a stubborn rash that is not yeast based, we then use Weleda's Baby Calendula Diaper Care Cream.  As a doula and student midwife, i recommend Weleda's Baby Calendula Cream products exclusively to new and seasoned parents.  Though, it is pricey, we love the natural, effective, and soothing properties of this cream and won't settle for anything less.

Far better than most alternatives

Posted

Pros: effective, contains natural plant extracts, no petroleum, no staining

Cons: too many "chemical" ingredients for my taste, contains more salicylate than plant extracts

I used this as an alternative to other zinc oxide creams because it says it is a natural baby care product, & that appealed to me. I would rather not use petroleum products on a baby's diaper area & this cream fits the bill. It compares favorably with more well-known and easily available brands that can be had at most discount or grocery stores. I was disappointed with the ingredient list for a product claiming to be all-natural. It is still head and shoulders above it's competition, & it would be hard to do better unless I make a diaper cream myself! No staining on cloth diapers/ wipes. Works fine, but nothing special, imo.

heals rashes almost on contact!

Posted

Pros: Works great, smells good, soothes on contact, has not left resudue on our diapers

Cons: messy, thick

My daughter does not often get rashes but when she does all we have to do is use this cream once, maybe twice. She likes the way it feels right away when i put it on her. We have not had a problem with the residue staying on the cotton pre-folds we use but we have a "sanitize" cycle on our HE washer so they get washed in very hot water.
