We saw it and loved it! Definitely the best film to come out of Disney animation in a while. (For the record, DH worked on this movie, but he also worked on Chicken Little and Meet the Robinsons, and this is by far better!) I think the fact that John Lasseter from Pixar was heavily involved in the story helped.
However, we took DS, who's five, and it was too intense for him. DH and I had already seen it, and we talked about the plot with him a lot and really prepped him. Here are the "scary" bits (SPOILERS):
The whole premise is that Penny (the girl) and Bolt are in a TV show together, and Bolt has super powers. The opening ten minutes are Penny and Bolt being chased and shot at by the bad guys in scary helicopters and on motorcycles. DS was actually okay with this part (because we had explained it to him in advance).
At the end, there's a large fire on the set, and Penny gets trapped inside. She's coughing, can't walk, they can't find her, her mom is running around outside, etc. Of course Bolt ends up rescuing her, but it is pretty intense. DS was okay with it at the time, but later in the day he got a little teary when talking about it with me and told me he didn't want to see the movie again. Poor guy.
For the record, he's pretty sensitive about movies. He watches Totoro, Peter Pan, Snow White, and Mary Poppins, but thinks Monsters Inc, Nemo, and Beauty and the Beast are too scary.
Anyway, though, I highly recommend it if you have older kiddos. We loved it!

). I'm happy to hear a good review though.
